“So they called them and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge; for we cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard.” — Acts 4:18-20

As Christians, we know that fear and division will not have the final word. Love will. And we cannot - must not - keep from speaking about this core lesson of Jesus’s teaching. 

Our giving - of time, talent, and treasure - is a tangible witness of how we continue to spread the gospel and Christ’s love. We pray that you will continue to invest in a community grounded in wisdom, compassion, and hope.

TPPC’s Needs in 2027

As ever, we face challenges in sustaining our community…

• Adapting our worship: We face times of great heat. We have installed air conditioning in the chapel, and will continue to explore ways of adapting our worship so everyone may stay comfortable. We also continue to seek ways to improve our hybrid worship offering, on Zoom and in the sanctuary. 

• Social Witness and Action: Due to budget constraints, we froze our contribution to SWAC at 9% of budgeted income in 2026. Increasing our SWAC giving to 10% of budgeted income would necessitate an increase of $5,000-$10,000 over the 2026 budgeted amount. 

• Sustaining our community: Last year we contributed $3,000 from our church’s operating budget to the Deacons Fund, which supports the immediate needs of members of our congregation and community. We build connection and fellowship through our worship, events, youth and adult educational programs, and other activities.  We will continue to invest in these experiences, as well as our beautiful buildings that provide special places for so many.
