“…Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another…” Hebrews 10:2

In his letter to the Hebrews, Paul reminds us that, in times when uncertainty and disorder reign, we must build each other up. 

As a church, we seek to be a sanctuary from the outside world, a lighthouse of renewal, compassion, and reconciliation. This includes providing emotional and financial support for our members while incubating resistance and activism for justice and peace.

TPPC’s Needs in 2025

This year we are…

• Growing our staff to meet our church’s growing needs. Last year, a subcommittee spent countless hours designing staff roles that will better suit our evolving technological and communication demands on our staff and volunteers, as well as our continued dependence on commercial tenants and renters for revenue. Implementing these recommendations means an increase of $51,667 in expenses on non-pastoral staff for 2025.

• Continuing to increase how much we devote to social witness and action. In 2025, this amount rose to 9 percent of budgeted income, so the Social Witness and Action Committee will have $53,096 to disburse. This marks an increase of $10,564 over 2024 levels. 

• Creating opportunities to connect with each other and build community through educational programs and a congregational retreat in 2025 or 2026.
