Lenten Choral Service — March 22nd

Join us on Sunday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. for a special Lenten Choral Service during worship, centered on the beloved Psalm 23, “The Lord Is My Shepherd.”

The Takoma Park Presbyterian Church Choir, joined by friends, exceptional soloists, and a chamber orchestra (featuring strings, woodwinds, harp, and piano), will offer a rich and moving musical journey through Psalm 23. The service will include settings from a variety of traditions—England, Scotland, and Appalachia—and composers such as John Rutter, Virginia-Gene Rittenhouse, Adolphus Hailstork, Harold Darke, and James Bingham.

We are also delighted to welcome two guest artists: tenor Javier Gonzalez and soprano Audrey Moïse Béloni. Ms. Béloni is a local artist, and Mr. Gonzalez will be traveling from New Mexico especially for this service.
