Congregational Meeting Called for July 25
A Congregational Meeting of Takoma Park Presbyterian Church is called for Sunday, July 25, following worship, for the purpose of acting on the recommendation of the Pastoral Nominating Committee to approve its candidate for the position of Pastor and the terms of call (compensation package).
There will also be an open house with the candidate on Saturday, July 24th from 1-3 PM in the Church Library. Refreshments will be provided.

TPPC Summer Worship Plans
Next Sunday, July 4th, our worship will move to the library in the Education Building while the sanctuary is being renovated. The re-plastering and painting of the sanctuary are scheduled to be completed by about mid-August. We will move back to the sanctuary when the renovation is complete.

The church is as good at resisting change as any institution. Christians who want to stay set in their old ways will often quote scripture: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). “God’s Word doesn’t change so we shouldn’t either.” What they fail to see is that in scripture God is always changing, always on the move, always adapting to circumstances. And when God does something new in scripture, God’s favorite tool in the toolbox is forgiveness. Old wounds and grudges are erased, and God once again “makes all things new.”
