TPPC 3-Year Capital Campaign (2021-2023)

Through our three-year REBUILD RENEW REJOICE Capital Campaign, we came together in an extraordinary show of support, pledging to fund a much-needed new roof, Sanctuary repairs, and additional mission service to communities in need.

The new roof is in place, the Sanctuary has been beautifully restored, and we are poised to increase funding for mission services to communities in need.

Thank you to everyone who has been fulfilling their pledge - your giving is making these wonderful things possible!

We need everyone to fulfill their Capital Campaign pledges and help keep TPPC strong, active, dry, and beautiful for years to come!

Fulfilling your Campaign pledge is easy - access our giving portal.

Rebuild our sacred space

Our sacred and communal space, which has served our congregation and the wider community for generations, is both a blessing and a challenge. The body of Christ at Takoma Park thanks God for the blessing and moves to meet the challenge. We are taking this step to enrich our ministry and enhance our sacred space by improving our facility.

Thanks to the generous support of our members over the past several years, we have been able to complete several major capital projects. We have replaced two boilers and installed a new roof over the education wing.

Renew our spirit

The Property Committee has determined that the most urgent priorities for us now are: Replacing our Sanctuary roof
Repairing the tuckpointing
Restoring the stained-glass windows Replastering and painting the Sanctuary

Having a space that is healthy, safe, accessible and inviting to all is one way we live out our core values.

Rejoice in serving and worshiping together

In addition to completing these capital projects and paying off debt, we are also considering how in this moment we are being called to greater serve our community. We are including a mission component in this campaign to raise funds to address immediate needs that have been made even more apparent in this time of pandemic.

Because we need to continue generous giving to our annual budget, we are combining this Capital Campaign with our annual fall stewardship campaign. An online pledge form is available on this website.

Tithe to Mission

The priority projects of the Capital Campaign have been completed or are in the last phase of completion, except for the Tithe to Mission component. Coming together as a church community to decide where we want to dedicate those funds is something our church can look forward to in 2022.
