Sermon: “This is Not My Grandfather’s Garden“ by Pastor Mark Harper

God of abundance, we want to perceive the possibility of peace.
Soften our hearts to do the work of undoing oppressions.
Ignite our spirits that they may long for justice.
Give us a vision for a world where justice blooms,
where all are fed and all are free.”

Today we are joining congregations around the world in celebrating “Sowing Solidarity: Communities Rooted in Peace, Justice, and Love”, an Eastertide campaign of Community Peacemaker Teams.

They invite us to explore how sowing solidarity can nurture thriving communities in our own contexts as well as around the world and to learn about experiences of Columbian communities resisting violence and oppression and committing to acts of solidarity.

Our services continue to be held in our Sanctuary. People are welcome to come to church for worship, and we will continue to live-stream our worship service.

Facemasks are currently optional at TPPC; however, if you’re not vaccinated, we recommend wearing a mask. We recommend that everyone get the COVID vaccination and booster, and if you have a vulnerable health condition or just prefer to wear a mask, please feel free to do so.

For more information, access the TPPC Coronovirus page.

About Online Worship

We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).

Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service.

We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.

For more information on TPPC's coronavirus response, access the TPCC Coronavirus Update page.
