Adult Ed: Rethinking Public Safety

This year's heightened urgency about current policing in the US and its impact on people of color in our society and communities led a subgroup of the Committed Racial Mindfulness Ministry to begin meeting and working as TPPC Presbyterians for Police Transformation.

On Tuesday, January 5, and Monday, January 11, from 7:30-8:45 PM, this group will lead an online Adult Education class.

The first evening will offer

  1. the grounding of this effort in Scripture and Presbyterian USA teachings and commitments;

  2. the compelling reasons for transforming the way we provide public safety; and

  3. the opportunities for advocacy in our City, County, and State where our voices, combined with others, can have an impact.

The second evening will present the six priority changes that our group has come to after months of study.

Please plan to join via Zoom. Information on how to connect will be sent out closer in time. We hope you'll not just learn but want to join in this effort.
